ISO 17799 / ISO 27001 NEWS

The 2005 version of ISO 17799 is only the first in a series of changes to affect the standard. 

Currently under development is a new version ob BS7799-2. This is being fast tracked through ISO and will be numbered ISO 27001.

Further down the line, in fact a LONG way down the line (years and not months) ISO 17799 itself will be renumbered. ISO 27001 is thought to be the likely adoption. 

Also in the ISO 27000 series will be a security metrics standard, thought to be ISO 27004.

Clearly this will create a whole set of security standards under the ISO27000 banner, which is the same approach adopted for quality management (ISO 9000) and environmental management (ISO 14000) 

SECUREZONE AND ISO27001

We will shortly be introducing an entire sub-site devoted to ISO 27001. This will include a forum, directory, and a range of other facilities.

The ISO 27001 and ISO 17799 Newsletter is published every few months or so and is dedicated to both standards.

A general security portal but rapidly expanding and covering ISO 27001.

 

ISO 27001 Portal

Another new but basic portal dedicated to ISO27001.

An excellent 'alternative' portal offering a very wide range of resources and unique information.
